I was in to DJs in Bothell the other day and was surprised to find not nearly as many guns as they used to have and kinda restricted hours (closes at 1; not open on Thursdays; only do background checks two days a week?).

Anyone know what their story is. (I know Bruce passed away last January, but it seems to have gone a bit downhill.)

They started these lousy hours when the COVID shutdowns and riots hit last year. They also started doing weird things like only running paperwork a couple days a week. So for example, if you buy a gun on Monday, you have to come back to do the paperwork on their paperwork day.

I think they want to close the business down.

The fuck???

Yeah . . . that's nuts. Just close the doors, if that's where you're at.

The owner/s are rich, they don’t need to work.

Yeah, it certainly seems like they’re biding their time and letting their inventory slowly dwindle.

DJ's is up for sale. They want to sell the entire inventory and property. This info comes from a trusted source.

How trusted? I think they lease the space, not own it.

But, I do know they'd like to sell the business, or at least the inventory. They will be selling it down to make it easier on the next buyer.

Incorrect.

The Jordan’s own the property.

NWGunner has it correct.

The property is probably worth a bunch by now.

It’s assessed at $624,900.

Of course, assessed value and market value are 2 entirely different things...

Yep. Assessed value on the place I bought last year is about 350k. Market value is almost 800k

I really enjoyed DJs and Bruce, they usually had a nice assortment of old iron pre-covid, I dropped by a month or so ago looking for something old but saw the paperwork days and being from the South Sound made me pass..

In the off chance that anybody was curious of their hours, they're still sticking to their 2021 schedule. Joke's on me, I was wondering if this was one of the random days they're closed and it was! RIP to me and the 4 other guys that pulled up at 11.
