My understanding is that the barrel-facing orifice on most gas blocks, SA included, is large enough that the gap made by the presence of an end cap is a non-issue. Grab a micrometer and take some measurements. Thickness of end cap (A), distance from rear of gas block to orifice (B), Distance from shoulder of gas block journal to edge of gas port (C).
If A+B is less than C, then the gas port in the barrel should line up fine with the gas block orifice.
If A+B is greater than C, then you will have some overlap.
