Let's play a game, you already have a stripped lower. Now you have $600 pandemic bucks to turn it into a legal AR. It must function fully and have some sort of aiming system.

An extra $100 to buy mags.
An extra $100 to buy ammo.

Pick a rare caliber and find ammo. But might pay more for mags and barrel.

Pick a common caliber and find cheap mags and barrel. Might not find any ammo to shoot.

Choose wisely.

LPK, stock and sights? I mean you could just run it with a bare bigger tube.

I'm looking at making a retro build.

Edit: And this breaks the budget.

Ready to go the way you like it? Then how about a $350 budget?

I like spendy triggers so I could not at $600 (that's why the last waguns build got a Geissele SSAE) To be fair though, I think you've given me a challenge to try and achieve. Hell, I am even game to try and make my own lower/stock out of a piece of Lumber and grind my own firing pin.

Complete Rifle kit less Lower, 489.00

https://www.cbcpfa.com/products/ar-15-r ... it-205164/

Bushnell Trophy TRS-25, 79.99

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00200E0HM?ta ... th=1&psc=1

Mags....I'd buy 5 and save the rest for the ammo. 7.99 ea.

https://www.primaryarms.com/hexmag-30-r ... uct-review

So basically i'd have 150 bucks for ammo now. I'd source that from Waguns by watching WTS ad's, or scouring my local stores like Sportsmans.
Not likely to find any deals at a LGS.

I'm sure i could find 300 rds of decent 5.56 for 150 bucks.

How was that list? All that shit is in stock at the time i posted it so there's that. "Perfect?" Not even close. That's about as cheap as you can do it these days though.

The Larue $80 trigger is a pretty good deal if you are a trigger snob. :)
