Before I started reloading for it, I was willing to pay up to about $0.80/rd for reloadable 54R (no Berdan primers like these are). This is expensive as far as I'm concerned, but not truly gouging. I wouldn't buy it but someone else might if they were out. I remember paying $1/round for steel cased when I got my first Mosin Nagant (didn't know any better, found them at Big Five in Bellevue, wanted to shoot the rifle. Life lessons.
