I want to find out if it is worth it to find a local gunsmith that can thread a ruger mk3 bull barrel. Since the ruger rimfire the registered part is the upper, is it worth doing it or just buy a dedicated host? How much should i expect to pay?

As a MkIII owner, you should be LOOKING for an excuse to upgrade to a MkIV.

Rifle barrels are $100+ to get threaded, in my limited experience. I don't know if the pistol barrel will be different.

Personally, I'd get a new gun. There's the money aspect, plus you know that the threading will be done correctly, and you don't need to worry about the finish.

MKIV's are for people that can't figure out how to take a MKIII apart.

MKIV's are kind of like the remedial version. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Hmm, never seen that before. I assume you have some experience with it? Any feedback?
