I took the ar my parents are going to get for Christmas and tried to site it in with the set up that my mom could line up the sites. You may be able to line up a scope tilted 45 degrees but I sure can see no way to do it with tip up sites. How can you when adjusting either the front pin or diopter changes both. Even I could some how line it up it seems that the site would have to have twice the adjustment range.

Fortunate for me the 45 degree risers came four to a box so I was able to use two front and back to raise and dogleg the mounting to the left so that she should be able to line it up. Once I got the site back to horizontal I was able to get on paper but I have the blade insert turned all the way down and still and shooting six inches low at 50 feet.........time to use a file and get it done.

The 45° are a gimmick for most people and the very few who may actually have a reason to use them, usually don’t.

Sells legos tho. Best of luck with your install.

Well it’s English, if that’s what you meant. Not sure though.

Depends if you think a back up sight is worthwhile. Or if you're doing something that involves very close targets and very far targets simultaneously.

If I was doing something that required close and far off I would simply purchase another Pentax Game Getter like I have on my 55 721 and be done. I looked for off set mounts that would simply walk the sites to the left or right but stay vertical but found nothing. The whole exercize was to keep it simple but my mom can not get her head down. Once I get the 1000 lumen red light and the laser permintly on and adjusted night time shooting will consist of iluminating who or what puting the laser dot on that object and then terminating if needed so the tip up sites most of the time will wind up being back up.
