Everett PD for a pistol transfer. I dropped off paperwork on 8/13 and received a proceed on 8/27.

I bought two pistols on the same day (Wednesday August 21, 2019) at Sound Loan in Everett.
CZ SP-01 Phantom (9mm) Sig Sauer P938 (9mm)
Received a call for my "proceed" on Wednesday August 28, 2019. Total of 6 business days (8 if you include the weekend). My CPL is through the Everett Police Department.
As an aside, Jeff and Cassie at Sound Loan are the best in the business!!

Done this for 2 consecutive purchases. Interesting. I know the people doing the LEA checks at Lacey and they are touting how fast they are at returning the forms. Who was the FFL?

Thanks to everyone who is posting their data.
In many cases we're seeing LE approval coming back at 10 days . . . exactly the maximum that they are allowed. Sound familiar? Like CPLs that come back at 30 days for many of us?
This is exactly why we want this data.

Friend just got an FN509. Purchased at Outdoor Emporium. Issaquah PD bgc. On the eighth day, he said, they contacted IPD and asked "what up, doods? We're going to release at ten days if you don't respond". (paraphrased and hear-say)
IPD responded with "proceed" on the 11th day (the day OE was going to release either way)

And I have a concealed pistol license. Please contact a 2nd Amendment Lawyer. Contact SAF, GOA and NRA and see what they say about backing you. These groups always say they need actual "intrusions" (my word, not a legal term) YOUR RIGHTS ARE BEING VIOLATED. Similar story here. Filled 4473 last Friday at Federal Way Discount Guns for pistol. Stopped by the store today and was told that Auburn PD put my background check “on hold” so they will not release my gun even after 10 business days, unless PD approves. Isn’t against RCW? Never ever had any problems before, always got my guns same day and still have clean record and current CPL. No criminal charges, no warrants, no mental problems ever. I am going to make official request of my all records’ disclosure from Auburn PD on Monday to see what’s going on.

I cannot find current regulations in RCW on firearms’ (especially handguns) delivery/release from dealer. 9.41.090 and 9.41.092 are not effective since 07.01.19 Question to FFLs: what is the current procedure of delivery/release of handguns? Links to the law(s) will be highly appreciated!
