I think I came up with a compelling reason, so hear me out. I just went and counted…I have 26 of them. You don’t even have 1? Not even 1? Come on buddy, try to keep up! :wink05:   :4couple:

I carry a 9mm every day. Most citizens can not tell I have it and five mags in a shoulder rig under my cover shirt. I still carry heavy at some times an Auto Mag under one arm and my 624 under the other. Every time I shoot one of my hand cannons I pay for it for a few days but I will not sell them because there is a time and place for them.

Where does one find this locally? Asking for a friend. LoL

Forgot about the threaded barrel being a no go. The king declared "Thou shalt not Yeet"

You can haz no thread for a few bucks more sans yeet: https://gun.deals/search/apachesolr_search/yc9ntb

I wanna photoshop myself into a scene from John Wick, off to the side, gleefully picking up brass, with a big smile on my face, while they're shooting.

Epic brass haul.

I bounced back and forth between 9 and 45 as my EDC for a bit.

The one thing that pushed me (finally) to 9mm is the advances in bullet technology.

With rounds like 147gr +P HST, the expansion is almost as big as a normal JHP .45, and the kinetic energy on target isn't that much different (~350 vs ~400).

9mm was considerably cheaper at the time, at less than half the cost, and is still cheaper now, meaning more hours can be spent practicing.

.45 double stack was bulky, with fewer rounds. Grip was much thicker, which wasn't as comfortable for me, and my .45 EDC's mag was 14rds, vs 17 rds for the std mag on the 9mm, meaning, on the between the the mag in the gun, and in the 2 spare mags, was essentially like an extra 'free' mag worth of ammo.

The recoil is also lower for 9mm - allowing much faster follow-up shots.

Nothing wrong with .45, and I'd go back to a .45 EDC if I had to, but in my opinion, the 9mm edges it out.

What would change my mind?
Take into account I have more ammo than I’ll ever shoot for fun

I'm a capacity whore, and I like concealment. For that reason, 9mm reigns supreme (and because .380 is more costly). I have a few .45s, that rarely go out. If I lived in a mag capacity state, that might change my mind, but the only easy/comfortable/concealable .45 for me is an XDS, and I'd still rather have a Sig P365 with 10 rounds than an XDS .45. But that XDS .45 is a nice shooter....I disgress. But my XDS is now 9mm, because capacity.

Because when the Zombies come, ammo will be plentiful. Get a Glockish thing and so will mags.
