I am going to help a friend send in a Stoeger shotgun for repair.
Whats the proper procedure for sending this in? Just stick it in the mail? send it thru an FFL? take it to UPS store and tell them?
Thanks!

Some manufacturers will want you to coordinate before sending so they know the basics and can track.
Have they called them? They may give you a tracking number or even with a shipping label (most don’t pay unless it’s a warranty item repair).
If they send shipping label then you will need to follow their printed directions.

I’m sorry, it’s a TriStar not a Stoeger. He said he called them and they just told him, “send it in”.

Mine was still under warranty so they sent me a label and sent it back repaired with no charge. It was a "Starter" O/U for my Son to see f he liked Trap and wasn't really up to a couple thousand rounds being run through it, more of a hunting shotgun. Is the one with the problem "levering over?" That was the issue with this one. About another 1K rounds and it did it again. I haven't bothered to send it back for repair on my dime. I bought him a Better Shotgun. If you want to spend the Money on shipping both ways plus repair costs, they were great. Probably not worth the Money though and they won't just sell you the parts.

Its jamming up like the safety is stuck on. Safety/barrel selector wont move, wont fire etc. Its an OU with only a couple hundred shells though it at the most. Light traploads.
He just got it december and says he registered the warranty

He just got it december and says he registered the warranty Ok, then they should send a Label for return/repair and fix it for free. I had no trouble with them when i Called in. They checked the serial number and told me it was still under warranty, (I didn't know that at the time, i bought it lightly used) and took care of me. I would call back and ask for a Warranty repair.
