Just came found out this morning that Springfield Armory was bringing this out I def gonna get but may wait to see if they make a Ronin edition with blued slide and stainless frame. What can I say? I been a sucker for two tone guns since first time I saw the Colt Delta Elite. But this looks good aswell and would look great next to my Mil Spec. Decisions decisions!

Yeah, I'm definitely gonna need one of these. Love when they bring back a classic and actually make it well.

I like it and want one... Not sure of the market for something like that. Surplus ones are still pretty cheap, and there are plenty of 9mm 1911's out there.
If they made a HP-DA i'd be all over it.

A few quick questions,
Will BHP Mags work in this?
Will BHP Grips/Parts work with this?
I want one but I am a huge stickler when it comes to Proprietary stuff.

Hoping for a TRP version with checkered front strap and g10 grips.

The limited reviews I watched said, yes, mags are interchangeable, so you can use the new Springfield 15 round in your old BHP and vice versa. Same with grips and most internal parts - altho this one does NOT have any of the mag disconnect parts in it. I am still trying to find out if Springfield is planning on an ambi safety shaped like their new left side only one. The factory tiny safety really was my only fault with a BHP.

For $700 I was surprised to read that these are made in Geneso. My initial guess was that they would be rebranded Caniks. I wonder if they bought the old machinery from FN or started fresh.
It's pretty sweet looking and the only thing that would make it more compelling for me would be a lanyard loop for that classic P-35 style.
I don't know if I'm quite willing to break my 1639 seal for one of these but probably yes.

A CPL already breaks the seal so to speak, so go for it.

I don't know if I'm quite willing to break my 1639 seal for one of these but probably yes. My distributor listing (RSR Group) shows the SA-35 as a Girsan...so a Turkish gun manufacturer is punching them out for Springfield? Made under license? https://www.girsan.com/
