OK Munchie's post got me to thinking.....we need a Ruger Appreciation Thread

So here are the rules:

1. Post a picture of your Ruger firearm
2. Give us the details about it and the story behind how you acquired it....

I have a lot of these...I'll start

I believe my First Ruger was my Mark II Government Target Model, stainless with a 6" bull barrel

I bought it from a member on Seattle Guns, paid $325 (if I am remembering correctly), anyway, the gun is a tack driver, one of the keepers in my collection

My first 10/22 was a birthday gift from my wife

I found an SR22 chassis/stock at a WAC show for $60, so I combined them with a factory threaded 16" barrel, scope and universal bayonet mount....why? Because F^%K Diane Frankenstein, that's why!

The only Ruger of mine…

It’s my EDC, so nothing special about this pup.

I also have an LCP, only mine is an LCP II, bought it from a member here who lives in the Tri-Cities, paid $110 for it. I thought the wife would like it, but the recoil is a bit much for her....but I decided to keep it as it fits in just about any pocket

I bought this Ruger 44 Carbine at someone at the WAC show, a loooong time ago, for $390 (they were asking $400, but $390 was every penny I had on me). It is a 1963 vintage, it has a Williams Peep sight on the rear.
This is the most accurate gun I think I have ever fired, after shooting it and hitting everything I aimed at I swore I would take this one to the grave with me.

Who doesn't like a .44 Magnum in a rifle?....People trespassing on my property......that's who

I only wish they’d make 10-rd mags for those!

these early ones didn't have detachable mags (they have a tubular mag, that loads like a pump shotgun), the newer ones, based on the mini-14 platform, did have rotary mags like the 10/22, but those are completely different rifles. read more here: https://tincanbandit.blogspot.com/2015/ ... rbine.html

The Ruger .44 Deerfield Carbine

speaking of Mini-14s

Here is mine, I got this in a trade for a small flatbed trailer that I built, I had about $200 in the trailer. It came with the Butler Creek stock and a bunch of aftermarket mags...mine is one of the picky ones, only likes factory mags. The one thing it is not picky on is ammo....it will eat any 5.56 or 223 I feed it, never a jam

NICE!

Here is another one of my many 10/22s

This one has a custom stock that I built to mimic the look of the late 1800 cavalry carbines, it has a parkerized steel receiver from Kingston Armory

Thanks, one of my many custom stocks for the 10/22

Here is one of my Ruger pistols, A P90 in 45 ACP, I bought it from a member here for $300, I couldn't pass it up. The only upgrade I have done is some Hogue grips (added after the picture)
