https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/visua ... newsletter"The latest decline in price may suggest two things. First, demand from retail is exhausted, and second, manufacturers might have increased supply. The good news is ammo is becoming cheaper, but returning to pre-pandemic levels may never happen. There's just too much demand as the country spirals into chaos under liberal control - people want protection - and the best protection and most common is a 9mm handgun"

Scrap markets also rise and fall. Scrap is UP right now so the price of lead and brass will keep ammo above precovid prices also.

I would like to see a graph only counting "new" "brass" ammo for 9mm, .380, and 5.56/.223, and remove blanks. I saw several weeks where only steel/aluminum case was available, and it was higher than the old price of brass case ammo.
Still an interesting graph, and fairly accurate. 380 ACP was the hardest to find, shot up in price the fastest, and was more expensive than 5.56/.223 last summer. The graph reflects that accurately.

Is this going to devolve into a thread about investing in cryptocalibers?

It looks like ammo prices are trending downward. How far downward will be interesting to see. I noticed more online retailers having 9mm in stock at 40-50 cents a round.

I find it interesting too, that x39 didnt go up as much as other calibers. I guess that should be obvious since most of it is imported and most of the other calibers are generally US mfg'd.

Untill I run out of primers I'll take my .24c/Rd reloads. And I'll never be caught with my pants down for primers and powder again that's for sure
