What does the hive say on whistle pig barrels? I am looking at their 10/22 stuff the price looks good and rimfire central has good and neutral reviews on them. Does anyone have personal experience with them?

Spell check did you no favors.
Are we to gather that you wish to learn everyone's opinion of Whistle Pig barrels?
Never heard of them. Will read responses with interest.

Does anyone have personal experience with them? I've switched over to .17 HMR mostly for sage rats/whistle pigs/ground squirrels/chucks, so no input on 10/22. Are there good numbers and places to hunt over in your neck of the woods?

They are lightweight. So if walk and stalk is what you plan to do it will work good.

As I mentioned no first hand knowledge of the barrels. Have an acquaintance waiting on one for his CZ. When they first came out for the 10/22 there was buzz on the varmint boards and rimfire forums. As Whistlepig puts out barrels for a new model, the review cycle starts again. You might want to drop TINCANBANDIT a private message and ask him what he knows. If it's 10/22 related he's THE guy to seek out.

Those two are just a meager sampling of the ones that were running when I shot and there is enough left of to identify. The .17 HMR doesn't take any prisoners! Only about a month to go before cranking up the Gopher Getter and heading east.... assuming the Chi-Na virus don't get them first. It's pretty much the high point of my year.
