I'm thinking 800 ish square feet, and the 15 foot height, if i want a lift, is tricksy. But it only needs to be a simple building. I have to decide on doors and windows beforehand obviously. There's also a property value consideration, so lots to think about. Wife is on board, so that's good.

Daveygravey89 wrote: Is that a 100k shop ?? It depends on what the owner chooses for interior finishes. As sits, builder grade stuff it should be right about 60k. But, knowing the owner.... there will be a lift, and some power upgrades, and some epoxy on the floor... It'll creep up.

I didn’t want to give up my free time , but after having it built I wish I would have just done it myself . Saved myself the head ache of the crews I had do it . Horrible work ethic and just stressful

Yup city of kirkland requires it. It was a lot of fun dealing with my 3/4” meter with the supply across the street. Ended up running 2” poly from meter to house and public works didn’t want to allow it. Had to get the FD to convince public works it’s fine.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

You connect it pre or post meter? Hopefully pre-meter. You require a booster pump or storage tank, or is your pressure good enough to power multiple heads?

Passed all inspections been living in it for a year now. No pumps or tanks just a 2” poly straight into the house. I’ll send you a pic of where the water comes into the house tonight Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If I want to build a shop on a piece of land in Puyallup, is there a size I can get away with without having to permit? Or all shops need permit?

MOST jurisdictions allow up to 200sf before a permit is needed. FunFact: (2) 3-walled buildings at 16'x16' structurally separated by 1/2" is a nice loophole. Like, my old shop.

So I'm nearly to the "write a check" phase. Anyone have a solid recommendation of who to talk to?
