I need the remaining finish on a motorcycle tank stripped off. Either blasting or chemical. If this is something you do regularly or really now how to do it, please let me know. I'm tired of working on this thing.

Blasting on a bike tank is usually last resort or just on weld seams, later model makes have some really thin sheet metal!
Look local for a paint or plating shop that has a dip tank for stripping, maybe horse-trade for it..

7.62x39 will strip it clean, but will also leave a few holes.

This thread and the one about the pawn shop just shows how we’ll kick a guy to say “I care”.

Check out Michaels collision in Burien.. He's a gun guy, occasionally on here, and does killer work. Not sure if he does bikes, but it might be worth a shot.

On the boat we have a product called CRC Gasket Remover, it does an excellent job of removing the industrial paints we use. Spray on, wait 15 minutes, brush off.

I’ve found that brake fluid is an excellent paint remover

Try a heat gun too. Sometimes you don’t even need stripper

4" grinder and wire brush, if you want to go faster, hit the flat spots with a flapper disk. I've done plently of old cars that way.

If you’re still having trouble try xylene.
Take old rags and soak them in xylene cover the tank and leave for 10-15 min come back and scuff with scotch brite pad repeat a couple times.

Radiator shop dipped in their tank then a bit of sand blasting to finish or just sand blasting. What you will not like is the cost of having it repainted. My Triumph tank ran me $300 just for the painting and multiple sealer coats.
