So my truck has been sitting for 2 years now, it sat with a dead battery and I would like to get it started so maybe I can sell it or trade it or use it again..

I couldn't find anyone so I went to craigslist for a guy who revived my car.

How much old gas is in it? I would siphon/pump as much out as you can and then add some fresh gas before trying to Start it. Put the Battery on a Charger and see if it will take a charge, do that if you can instead of just a jump start.
Check the Oil for water/condensation and if it was a runner two years ago it will probably fire up with little trouble.

Even the Euros are smart enough not to make a truck.

Its my blue bronco, I'm pretty sure had it at your place before. Unless my mind is lost.

80s, full size, v8, and less miles is unsure since engine was redone back in early 2000s by previous owner.

Battery has already been pulled and checked and is dead, waiting to get a new one so I can exchange the core.

I was thinking about draining the tank and I know that will be a bitch. I think my dad parked it almost full unfortunately.

Pull the plugs. Squirt some oil in the cylinders, and run a couple revs by hand. Re-install plugs. If any corrosion set in it can prevent cracking a ring if one hangs up on start up. That gas tank may not be siphon proof.

Put a battery in it and fire it up.

Its an old simple rig.

My drag boat has a nasty 468 cubic inch big block and sits for a year and I fire it up, run the old gas out and never think twice.

I fire up tons of shit thats been sitting.
Unless its an old rusted out beater with a rotten tank or something you know nothing about I would not worry ONE bit about the fuel.

Sounds like you know the history of the rig and its condition. The gas we have in the PNW is of very good quality, so I would not worry. If we in Utah, I would drain that shit after sitting for 6 months.

Run it around for a few days with the heater on high to dry up the mold on the seat belts and steering wheel then change the oil and all the filters. Presto, done!

Your old camaro fired right up on the old nasty fuel!! Never missed a beat.

It has a broken crankshaft now! Broke off right behind the balancer. Ive never seen anything like that.
