That's nothing new Rick. The same thing can be found in grocery stores. Say a 16ct box of large freezer bags, VS a 32 ct box....Buying two of the 16ct is cheaper than the 32 count, and it's common to a lot of products. Are you just noticing that kind of thing? Or are you just padding the post and thread start count?

Those 2-packs were sub-$8 last summer. I should have bought more.

I once had a discussion with a manger of Lowe's about ladders. They had two 4' ladders and two 6' ladders (225lb and 250lb rating in each size) that were all the same price. Why would anybody buy the lighter duty ladder for the same price as the heavier? He didn't really have an answer other than that's what corporate told them to price them at. I just wanted a 4' ladder and felt like I was getting jipped because I was paying the same price as the 6' ladder AR15L wrote: And what's wrong adding to my post count? It devalues existing posts when you post more, leading to inflation Pretty soon Dan and Steve will have to start 'quantitative easing' in an effort to bring demand for your posts back in line with the supply If that doesn't work your posts will become so worthless that people will need to gather a wagon load of them just to muster up a single fuck to give

Around here most of the stores do that with Rainer beer, the 12 pack is cheaper by can than the 18.

To top it off, with inflation being as high as it is does anyone actually think that the prices are going to come down even close to where they were before this whole shit storm started?

Exxon reported income of $17.9 billion for the three months through June, more than three times what it earned in the same quarter a year ago. Revenue at the energy giant jumped to $115.6 billion, from $67.7 billion a year ago.
