I’m trying to find some breath taking places to take my wife and 2 yr old son this spring/summer. I would like to stay in the PNW
Area , it can be a cabin or hotel or a camp ground . Where are places you would recommend ?

A friend of mine rents a yert on the coast each summer. Staircase at Lake Cushman is great, go midweek for a good spot. Camping at Lake Sylvia or Millerslyvania is fun too.

All four corners of Washington State are amazing and diverse.

Neah Bay - far left upper corner
Long Beach - far left bottom corner
Hwy 2 to Spokane
Hwy 12 to Walla Walla

Mt Rainier
Lake Chelan
Moses Lake
Etc
Etc

So many places.

Lake Crescent is very nice, easy access to Hurricane Ridge and the Pacific beaches at La Push, also close to Port Angeles in case your wife / kids needs a little civilization break from the woods...

I like the Haystacks in Oregon. You can day trip to the Tillamook Air Museum and the Oregon State aquarium.

The Rogue Brewery is an excellent place for lunch if you go to the aquarium - and they even have toys for the kids.
