If Bloomberg and Mom's Deranged Actions go local... go local-er. "The state’s House Republicans commended the move in a statement, saying they are proud of Quay County, with its population of about 10,000 citizens, for standing up for the rights of New Mexicans. Republican lawmakers represent the minority in both the state’s House and Senate" Proof that there are some wins to be had as a political minority. https://www.foxnews.com/politics/new-me ... egislation

I have been wondering if something like this was a possible avenue towards showing the big cities that pro-2A people will not roll over to their big city controlism. I had been thinking that it wouldn't happen, but this wave of Washington sheriffs showing some opposition to some Bullshit tyranny has made me think about it again in a new light. How about a letter writing and discussion campaign to get pro-2A communities around the whole nation adopting sanctuary status? It would be more than symbolic if this grew.

I despise "sanctuary cities." In my mind, the law is the law, and no you can't just choose to exempt yourself from it.
At least, that's the way I used to feel. Now it seems that up is down, and anyone can do whatever the hell they want, both citizens and lawmakers.
So fuck it, I'm all in.

"The Law" to me is the US Constitution. Shall not be infringed... They've trampled all over the supreme law of the land, and I am done agreeing with any more infringements.

NM doesn't have a gun problem. They have a heroin and property crime problem.
Well, Paco X, doesn't that mean they have a people problem?

Gun owners and conservatives populate FAR MORE area than the leftists do. And with state pre-emption, laws cannot be MORE strict in certain areas. So using "sanctuary" in my mind is a net win for conservatives if this sweeps the land.
They can pass anything they want in big cities, but it won't hold due to pre-emption and the rest of us can "sanctuary" ourselves out of stupid or unconstitutional state laws...
