he was allegedly rape-y. #thehiredhelptoo Didn't know him. Figure his philanthropy was mostly tax write off/investment. Don't care much. Can't grieve for every human that passes.

I see his personal armed security drive by my house every day. When we first moved in we drove around the neighborhood exploring the area and came across his back service driveway with a guard hut/tower where an armed guard came out and watched us as we backed the car up and turned around. We had never been there before and didn't know what was at the end of that street.
So for those who lie and claim he had no personal armed security, you're wrong. I see them every day and have to live with it in my neighborhood.
He was a rich hypocrite who wanted security for himself and his family and wanted the rest of us to be disarmed and helpless.
Even worse he had money so he bought expensive forbidden weapons that the common man had no way of acquiring.
Good riddance.

Yeah I didn't know him. Charity is big write offs. Hypocritical, and wanted to take things from me. Can't say as I'm very moved. Condolences to his friends and family. Losing a family member is always hard.

I felt very unChristian feelings when I read the title of this thread. God forgive me for my feelings. ROT. IN. HELL.
Allen donated $500,000 to help pass I594. Allen donated $1,000,000 to help pass I1639.
He has spent at least $1.5 million dollars to oppress and disarm you fellow gun owners, and make you criminals if you don't comply with the nonsense rules passed and about to be passed against you, and the ensuing hardships for all gun owners. How does that make you feel?
Oh, and surely a massive hypocrite likely living behind big guarded walls, with heavily armed security, and lavish security measures available only to the elite. Total hypocrite limousine liberal.
Allen was a enemy to liberty in this state and nation, standing directly against the 2nd Amendment. My sworn enemy, just like any external enemy. The world is better off in his absence.

I might not agree with his stance on somethings, but I never will fully agree with anyone on everything.
I will say though the man has done good. Be it for true desire to help or tax writes off. $2 billion already committed to charity. $500 million having already been dished out. And a plus is a lot of it is based in Seattle so its actually local. And now in his passing, at least half his worth being donated.

1639 may be used to murder gun owners (when you fail or the system incorrectly bugs out and falsely IDs you as a fail to 'continue to be eligible to possess' the cops won't come for your guns in daylight and politely knock on the door, it will be 2am and 'no knock' for "officer safety").
When someone is doing something that can actively get you murdered its hard to care about anything else supposedly "good" they did.

Do you guys still boycott Ruger or has that ship sailed? I assume you're referring to Bill Ruger's 1990s era comment or the direction they took to not want civilians to own 10+ capacity semi autos? Well, I don't think he/they were really being proactive about it, and I may be wrong. However that was a big mistake and I think Ruger did pay a price for it. In that AWB era, Ruger and SW did make some political blunders that cost them. I think they were trying to figure out which way their company might survive in an atmosphere of uncertainty CREATED BY the types of gun grabbers like Allen. Maybe you were dialed in at the time, but there was a lot of concern that gun companies were going to die - lawsuits into extinction and a product liability. I think some of their movements/comments were self preservation and appeasement (back when folks naively thought Dems could be appeased). I've largely forgiven SW and Ruger and others for tactical mistakes made in the survival of their brands. I guess Springfield was embroiled in some political hotwater recently... dunno. I will never forgive and forever condemn those gun grabbers on the left - they are the enemy. There is a difference.

He did much good, but I594 & I1639 are inexcusable.
