Well, that was heavy and I hope Bri gets the ongoing help needed, emotionally and financially. While I do think it's clear it was lawful self defense when faced with imminent fear of death or serious injury, I don't think she does herself any favors in granting this interview.

I found her to really need some refinements in language, and she seems to give some admissions for which I would advise against. icon_eek That's about all I'll say on that.

I think we all can learn a lot from her experience, however. The costs - emotional, legal, financial, and otherwise - is a very important reminder to avoid these stupid confrontations at all costs. Move away from the jerks on the road, rather than engaging them in road rage, for example. Disengage. Don't up the ante.

I hear ya, and agree 1000%, and even though I try my best, I'm only successful about 99% of the time. Some of them just manage to find that one hidden button that I don't know exists, and they push it. Effing douchebags.

So, it seems like we could show her some support via her GoFundMe page.

It was interesting to hear her side of the story.

She could sell that bike, which is in my educated guess a luxury item in a state where it rains 9 months out of the year. I bet she has a practical vehicle. One of the things I wasn't gonna mention from the interview. Not a good look, claiming everything gives you PTS when you still ride the same bike ... beg for money online sitting on a $10,000 toy.

I urge people to carry self defense insurance. $100 annually, covers like $50k in legal fees.

Why?

Did it not work as expected?

Might not work so well..if there's a 'next time'.

The idea is, stack the odds in your favor. You're in a fight for your life...

Indeed. Plus if you listen she was on the way home from the range.

I wasn't paying that much attention, but were there witnesses to his attack on her?

I did listen. Complacency is no excuse.

Why the hell would anyone be against stacking the deck in their favor?

I've posted my own eff ups in the hope that others learn from my mistakes....So too, can she learn from hers.

People commute year around on their bikes, she may too. For lots of people a motorcycle is stress relief. Why should she have to give up transportation because you think it's a luxury item?

Still didn’t answer why. You just came back with a stupid “if” situation that wasn’t even a situation.

Because: Terminal ballistics.

Science, bish!

Expanding HP like Ranger T, HST, or Golden Saber do considerable more damage than an FMJ.

I wonder if the FMJ penetrated completely?
