https://nypost.com/video/heart-stopping ... -speeding/Apparent drunk, resists, tasered repeatedly, fights two cops, shoots apparently both of them with a concealed gun, and flees. About the craziest video you'll watch.

Holy shit....
I liked the “get on your back, get on your back, get on your back” part ... when he was already on his back. I think they meant to say, “get on your stomach.”

Is this recent?
I can't see the video, and I can't find anything relevant on youtube.

The video highlights the fact than an UNARMED man who is drunk and repeatedly tasered managed to escape control, return to his car, draw a gun therein, AND OUTSHOOT two officers and nearly kill one, and momentarily escape.
HOLY ***** folks, this stuff really happens. I mean, hello. Is this guy Jason Bourne or what?!?!?

This is one situation where I'd be OK shooting the guy as soon as he reaches into the car....

Think really dry humor. Or even tongue in cheek.

Put yourself in the same situation...up to the point where he's reaching. What is he going to come out with? Will it be a wallet? A phone? Or....what? The answer is: You don't know, until they reach into the wallet, or dial a number...or the caps start popping. You'll notice how he engaged. This is no casual shooter. He has experience. He engaged two armed officers at close range, almost killing one. And consider this, too---both officers were wearing body armor. He shot for the soft areas--the ones that are NOT covered. Each call is different. Each stop is different. We do NOT KNOW what is coming up. Please think about that. Think about how this stop went. And afterward...if you're so inclined, lift a glass to the fact that the officers were able to make it home that night.

He wasn't getting INTO the car, he was reaching for something. Who is gonna fight the cops then run to their car and grab their wallet? He was getting a weapon. This isn't a casual traffic stop, dude was already fighting....

All those bleeding heart, anti-cop libs, who raise a stink over how a video caught officers fighting with a subject, and administered a few blows with fists during the process, should be locked in a room and forced to watch this video for several hours on end.
It may start as a simple DUI stop but there are some bat-shit crazy people out there that you never know what will set them off. How many times was he lit up with the taser? Yet he still could break free and go retrieve his firearm.
This happened back in 2017 and I'm sure details of this incident made their way through the nation's PD's. Might account for some of the incidents we've seen officers involved in since then where subjects are treated less than kind when they don't follow lawful orders. Might even be the reason a few got shot.
