Good: I mopped the floor today.
Bad: I mopped the floor because when I got home from work I found the sink was backed up and overflowing all over the place.

Bad: First house I put an offer on decided not to sell at all. Good: Found a house that will be $25-30K cheaper. ($175K) 3 BR 2 1/2 bath 3 acres. Best of all the barn that I didn't think was part of the property since it wasn't on the listing is, in fact, part of the deal. Guess who is going to have an indoor gun range? - Spoiler: show

Is the long skinny thing a mobile home? possible rental? Actually, that "building" to the south actually isn't there now. All active WAGUN supporting members are welcome to come to shoot at my range. (Fingers crossed) Two extra BR's and room for a lot of tents/RV's.

Good news: Had to use the QFC bathroom, clean, no needles on the floor, no piss on the seat. Bad News: My son is one of the courtesy clerks who has to clean it regularly. They have an armored sharps container on the wall with two gigantic padlocks so junkies don't try and break into it for the used needles (yuk!).

Bad news: Neighbor felt I was parking in "his space" on a public road that sits between both our houses. He cited HOA parking policy. The moment I moved the vehicle away he put a car there.
Good news: Parking policy only affects HOA privately owned roads, which this is not, and I wrote the policy when I was President so I know it has no impact on public roads. He can huff and puff all he wants. To be honest if he would have nicely asked I would have moved the vehicle, but he had to be all d-bag about it leaving a note trying to cite policy. So we left it for longer.
Policy was written because people were parking in fire lanes on the private roads and in some cases in front of hydrants or in places that made it difficult for first responders to maneuver. Which was an issue on a call that was made. But because it was a private road the city wouldn't do anything. Even with being asked to move some people wouldn't. So in order to legally tow on a private road a policy needed to be in place. It only impacts private roads.

bad news: Neighbor has had a Fire engine red - with peeling clear coat - Firebird (think IROC Z) parked in front of his house, across the street from me directly, for TWENTY FIVE YEARS. It doesn't run, but he washes it, keeps the tires inflated and pushes it back and forth a few feet every couple of years when the other neighbors call to complain (He has to buy tabs on those years, too)
Recently, his next door neighbor has allowed his Juggalo (really) grandson to move in to his house and six MONTHS ago the kid parked, on my side of the street and in front of my house as WPB described his vehicle being parked in the thread above - between my house and my next door neighbors house... his tabs have been expired for five months... I only recently prevailed in getting him to get it off of the sidewalk (folks here love to park on the sidewalk and I have been strenuously advising them to do otherwise when I nearly ran over a couple and their kid in a stroller as they were walking on the street around a car parked on the sidewalk!
Good news: the other day the cops showed up and approached me. (The REALLY good news is that I didn't require handcuffs or bail!) anyway, they asked about the kid's car: "Izzat yers?" says the nice officer.
"Nope" sez I, and upon being asked if I knew who's (whose?) it was, I related the information as above including that the Firebird has been there for twenty five years (they laughed and I told them it was the g#d's honest truth - still don't know if they believed me)
He told me they had a call about the juggalo car possibly being abandoned and asked why I hadn't called about the two vehicles. I told them nothing has come of the other calls to LE about these vehicles so I direct my comments to the vehicle owners with equal results.
So. He went and spoke with the juggalo's grandpa - they didn't go see the Firebird owner.
Bad News: they let everybody off with verbal warnings. So the kid came outside and turned the car around on the street to make it look as if it moves, and now it's parked more squarely in front of MY house!

If I recall vehicles need to be parked in the direction the traffic flows. If that is the case if he is parked against the grain he could be cited.
