Good: Today was my last day at Cabela's. Bad: Today was my last day at Cabela's. I really enjoyed my fellow outfitters, and most of the customers. The discounts, one free gun, and $1000 worth of Vortex. Good: I'll be getting paid almost twice what the managers make with a steady M-F/9-5. Gas $2.40, and two bedroom apt for $540.

Yeah, that's a relevant good/bad news combo there, Chuck.
Congrats on the pay increase and the increased standard of living. And, a change of scenery ain't all bad!

Bad: Fracking shower valve was getting so there was no hot water (25 year old Grohe valve). So I had to go buy a tube of silicone grease and tear it apart to lube the h/c valves.
Good: Didn't buy the $24 per quarter ounce of Grohe grease. Got some $3.99 stuff at McClendon. Got it torn apart and back together in under an hour (once I went to the hardware store.
Frack. I hate plumbing.

Because it's a good news bad news thread, and absence makes the heart grow fonder---I miss Wyoming, too, forgetting the wind blowing rocks and my windshield looking like it was beadblasted. And 4th of July blizzards. Haven"t actually lived there, but I did basic there at this time of year. I installed remote start, and won't be staying in a trailer.

Bad News: Fawn crossing highway 16 by Purdy was hit by a car today. Good news: Wasn't hit very hard, knocked it over for a couple seconds then it sprang up and ran up over the grass median. Bad news: Still had two more lanes to cross and didn't seem very good at it. Hope she made it. And you never know about internal injuries.

Good: Got rid of a BUNCH of stuff today. Bad: Probably a few thousand dollars worth of stuff. Good: Needed that purge. I just realized why I had so much stuff. When I was in the Army I never had a yard sale. I would open the door, and a crew would come in and pack all my shit for free. Now that I have to do it myself it was totally unmanageable. I have to condense 30 years of crap down to a 5X8 trailer. I sold a ton of ammo at a very good price. My father was a furniture sales man so the furniture I inherited was was top of the line. To just give it away killed me. An Estate sales company wouldn't touch it. Not old enough/not new enough. Limbo time frame 1977.

Good news: My moms POS husband gave me two books: The Second Amendment and the Heller decision, and an annotated guide to The Constitution Bad news: Both are anti gun liberal propaganda. Good news: He probably won't be alive much longer.

Pompous old idiot anti gun asshole with a PhD who believes everything he sees on PBS and MSNBC and hears on NPR. Last Christmas he tried giving me some anti Fox News bumper stickers. Think he had a part in writing both of the books. He's also a shitty author.
