Probably only about a 5 hour drive or so from Lakeside as Mount Assiniboine Provincial Park is just south of Banff. Another great BC destination is the Bugaboo Spire in the Purcell Mountains. Attachment: bugaboospire.jpg Summer road trip from Texas is definitely on my bucket list. A winter road trip for skiing at Fergie, Banff, and Kicking Horse resorts in the Canadian Rockies is also high on the wish list.

Nice pic That's really cool Joshua... I've always been more of a crag climber having done a lot of climbing in the Sierra Nevada and Southern California. Not so much alpine climbing. Since my mid thirties have been really focused on alpine skiing though have started to play around with some occasional rock climbing again last couple years. One of the things looking forward to is going to Devils Tower with my grandson for some climbing in next couple years. Would be really cool to climb on Bugaboo Spire, will have to look into it.
