So dry, they celebrate water? Nah, it’s just an excuse to irrigate your liver.

So dry, they celebrate water? Yep, oldest continuous festival in the state, this is the 124th one. The flat plain to the north, between Sequim and the Strait is officially classified as desert. Even has a native species of cactus. So the old timers got together in the late 1800's and organized irrigation districts, using water diverted from the Dungeness River. Shortly thereafter the number of farms exploded in the area.

We joined Polson Gun Club. 200 yard range, marked at 25 yards, and a pistol bay, all covered. 30 min from the new house. (39 min from the camp ground) RSO from 12-5 on sat, but other than that, open 7 days a week anytime (combination lock and entry) Free targets, 3 different types! And a steel gong at 200. I was making that bitch sing yesterday with my 1962 Ruger 44 mag Carbine. Never missed. (12" gong)
Photos are looking down range and toward the entrance.
