I didn’t get it either, until someone showed some clips of exactly how ‘Blackface’ was used. It was a bit before my time, so it was kinda hard for me to correlate. That was some pretty offensive, racist shit. That being said, I think it was probably before a lot of the people feigning ‘offense’ time also.

But turning that into outrage over coal miners coming out of the mine, because their face is black with coal dust... That's just using outrage as a weapon. That is as ugly as racism is. Get angry about real racism. I get it. I get angry about it too. But making crap up to be angry about, is just as bad as racism. What is racism? Getting upset because someone else's skin isn't the same color as yours, their culture is different. Etc. Making up things to be angry about... You are trying to belittle the other person.
