Safe on truck and in garage and shop for a couple months - two layers of 5/8" drywall absorb an incredible amount of moisture. So I got all the moisture desiccant in the oven, stat. Two fans, heater. Peet wired up and plugged in. Then rotating the hot desiccant. Less than 48 hours and humidity was dropping. 72 hours, stable. Peet has taken over after populating, like a champ.

Not saying where the family jewels were during this adventure of a move and floor replacement. But damn, what a HUGE PITA. THAT is why such a thing MADE MY DAY.

That's some serious equipment. The port's T5 website says they'll be able to go up to 18,000 TEU container ships. But, with an outreach of 240' I wonder if those cranes couldn't go bigger still as long as the berth dredging was sufficient. All those people up on the hill in Alki who wanted T5 to be redeveloped into a park are going to be real disappointed when the first 350m behemoth parks outside their house and discharges for three days.

This machine is a huge 300 foot tall elevator that lift and lowers cans all day.

Yet the operator has to climb 30 flights of stairs just to get up there.

But doesn’t China produce more than 1/2 the world’s steel, followed by India, Japan, etc?

Isn’t that steel used for saw blades?

Maybe you can find US made blades, but a lot of industries & consumers don’t have that luxury.

It’s not like denying entry at this port is going to hurt China, they’ll just ship elsewhere.
