My wife's side are all good in the water, my BIL was a serious Olympic level white water kayaker in his prime. I was the water chicken guy. Rightly damn so. I can swim like a fish, but I wouldn’t want to go in any of the local water right now at their current temps. Cold water shock is a thing… I can swim OK but some (yes COLD) white water situations, there is NO swimming away or out. One time I was ejected from a raft (church group!), into the air, then into the cold river drink, smacked just below the eye on a rock for my troubles. That shit happens FAST. No major laceration, just nasty bruise and odd damaged tear ducts. Yeah I was in a wet suit (May) but was bone cold until we pulled out and changed. I've rolled a few times, once at a hard 90° on the Rogue. I swam deep and with the current to pop up. F that shit now. I'm sticking with cheap booze and women. I mean church.

As some of you might know, we relocated to AZ, so now I am on job market.
Of course, my Resume’ is on most of the job boards and is available for recruiters.
