Just a heads up if you are currently on Gvt provided State Health Care.

A good buddy of mine is dying from cancer. It has moved to his jaw, grown over his teeth and now is closing off his throat.

Dr's have been radiating it for 3weeks.

The Health Care he has gives him Oxy in pill form...he can no longer swallow these.

In order for him to get it in liquid form it cost $170/wk....took a week for it to be prescribed. he was off the OXY for 3 days... no pain meds.

He owns a house...needs in-house half day nursing but cant afford it, Probably needs hospice in a couple weeks.

Because of his age ,61, The Health Insurance he has will not pay for any of this.

He has equity in the house but the cancer has gone so far that he cant spend any time at a bank...and I doubt the bank would loan money to a dying man with no job. His Ex is going to see if She can get the equity from the home for hospice....time is running out. the cancer is growing quickly.

He couldn't afford his private Health Care when It tripled in 2015....took a chance. Signed up for IIRC Apple Care?


All I remember is that day the President said two sentences...

You can keep your health care if you want it...you can keep your doctor.

And when questioned about older folk that get hurt His response was "We may not be able to do the operations the elderly want, replace that hip, but we can surely get them the medication so they're comfortable."

This last statement is what I'm seeing first hand....

Suffice to say...this guy worked and provided his family with house and food...payed taxes for 50 years and now when he need help the most he gets the middle finger from the government he supported.

This is the side of socialism and nationalized health care that most proponents never speak of. It happens regularly to folks who are part of that system in many countries around the world.

When I lived in the UK, I went to the hospital ONCE. First, there was no parking within 1000 yards of the place, then the facility appeared straight out of the 1950's, with equipment and furnishings that could have been there since the war. Try telling them you aren't part of their system, you don't have one of their National ID cards, and you are a cash patient. They are clueless without the piss warm government blanket surrounding their wimpy shoulders and keeping them inside the boundary.

I truly think what this country needs is for each class of high school Juniors to spend a summer in one of these countries where their utopian dreams are being carried out by the government. They need to witness $9/gallon petrol, socialized medicine, scarce internet, 19% value added tax on everything, and the limits on free speech. They will find things to be uncomfortable and be damned glad to be back in the USA. Instead, we (the Silent Majority) sit back and watch our country ruined by these Bolsheviks and apparatchiks like Jay Inslee, Kschwarma Savant, Bernie Sanders, and Elizabeth Warren.

They OFFICIALLY have spent a BILLION dollars on homeless clownery in less than 10 years in King County. And the problem is only worse. Money is not the GD problem.

I got a real beef with so called frozen food at the major chain grocery stores. You asses know it's really easy to tell when food products have been thawed and re-frozen really sloppily? I mean at some point it becomes about food SAFETY not just QUALITY. Ice cream, fries, etc I can tell - we all here could easily see it. You will get it back and I will want my money back. QFC and Safeway are top contenders.
