People act surprised stuff like this happens when the Dems have waged a decade+ long war against the police and the result is some of the best cops have quit and been replaced with these guys.

This was the plan all along.

Maybe I'm mistaken, but I thought Texas was a pretty red state.

Even red states are sprinkled with "blue" areas, and even in the red areas they are still subject to the national atmosphere and mood which isn't a net overall welcoming to police or encouraging young people to go into law enforcement as a career.

One cop was on the scene in full battle rattle using the hand sanitizer while the shooting was going on.

Uvalde officials presented Texas DPS with a document labeled 'narrative' days after the school shooting. It said because police had 'zero hesitation' and 'moved directly toward the gunfire' they saved over 500 lives.

Uvalde officials presented the Texas Department of Public Safety with a document labeled "narrative" during a closed-door meeting days after the May 24 shooting.

According to the The New York Times, the document put together a timeline of events from interviews with police officers who responded to the May 24 Robb Elementary shooting, which resulted in the deaths of 19 fourth-graders and 2 teachers.

"There was zero hesitation on any of these officers' part, they moved directly toward the gunfire," the document said, according to the Times.

Another section of the document called the Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District police force and Uvalde Police Department officers "heroes."
...
"The total number of persons saved by the heroes that are local law enforcement and the other assisting agencies is over 500 per U.C.I.S.D.," the document said, according to the Times. "But for U.P.D. and U.C.I.S.D. being on scene IMMEDIATELY, that shooter would have had free range on the school."

Well, I’ll give them this: The initial police response was very, very fast. And yes, they went directly into the school and into the hallway outside the classroom.

So maaaaybe they can rightfully claim that the police response prevented the shooter from moving to other classrooms and killing even more people.

The only people the Uvalde PD saved were themselves.

If the Border Patrol hadn’t shown up, they would’ve needed more caskets…

Sheriff says he doesn't want School Resource officers to have to go back to their cars. Stocking AR-15s and breaching tools in the schools.

The comments are hilarious. Some people who clearly understand and a bunch that have no clue. What do they teach in school these days? Cause it sure isn't the ability to read and comprehend. BTW the link worked just fine!
