So I acquired a 1962 Remington Model 510 Targetmaster through a deceased relative
Been in the family since new, before me...
The stock was broken up pretty bad
So I carved a new one
Started with 3- 36" 1x8 pieces of mahogany and some glue
A Skilsaw and a drill press were the only power tools used.ImageImageImage

Dude. You've got some skills!

Well, photography isn't one of them. :wink05: , but from what I can see that stock looks really nice!

Nice work there Jeffro.
I’ve got a maple blank that I’ve had for 20+ years and have not found an action to cut it for.

I'm sitting on a choice piece of curly maple here, and i KNOW my curly maple and how to make it pop... All i need is an octagon barrel inlet, and ramrod tube drilled(not event that) and i have a original leman lock, for an 1850's squirrel gun build i want to do. Every other part i want to 'smith myself.

If anyone knows a blackpowder smith that loves doing barrel inlets, let me know
