I heard this was coming down the pike.

Each port is swimming in cans, its absolute insanity.

I sent emails to some offering to take a couple off their hands...

All I got was 'we are not disposing of any at this time'...

China recently disallowed the use of AIS anti-collision systems due to alleged tracking, by U.S. intelligence, of P.L.A.N. ships using the navigation aid.

Some think it might also be to conceal the state of confusion and blockage in their own ports.

$29 per lb seems to be the standard these days. I always check, I love king crab, but not at that price. I wonder if they sell much at that price?

It seems to me, that if more people would buy US made stuff, the shipping problem would resolve itself. I work in Seattle and the breakroom is in plain view of a good part container port. I see lots of FORIEGN shipping containers coming in. Buy American made stuff!

US needs to manufacture the stuff for people to buy. Can’t blame the people for only buying overseas when there is no viable US made option (this doesn’t hold true for everything, look larger picture).

It wouldn’t happen overnight, but manufacturers track buying. They see more US made stuff being bought maybe they would get the hint.

I would imagine this has been happening all along. I used to be a merchant marine and many times I was greeted on the jetway meeting a ship with a flir camera. I have also been confined to a ship in a foreign port.
