Time to stock up on items you might think will be scarce:

“ What retail executives are saying about widespread supply chain bottlenecks.

From air shipping to ship charters to price increases, industry players are managing chaos at ports and throughout the global production network every way they can.

Yeah, I've been sounding the alarm on this for months, but so many people just think I'm making it up. I'm afraid we're headed for dark times, and many aren't prepared for it, and won't heed warnings to get prepared. I suppose it has always been and will always be that way, though.

Expect a bullwhip effect where prices come crashing down due to over ordered supply when they come back to shores, it happened with various things like hand sanitizers and toilet paper that are no longer in high demand.

It was over $70 a month ago.

I've got a kitchen remodel coming up in a couple of months. Trying to find large appliances is pretty challenging.

House is new to me, but it isn't new. Neither are the appliances that came with it.

Interested in a smaller than normal KitchenAid fridge in off-white built in 09-01? It only drips water into the fridge regularly when it defrosts. Maybe a KitchenAid microwave vent hood in off-white made January of 1997 with a saggy front door?

We may end up missing that old KitchenAid dishwasher. I replaced some bushings when we got into the house and it cleans and dries dishes amazingly well. Having had a modern dishwasher in my old house, the EPA restrictions on the new dishwashers hasn't improved them.

But I am looking for an upright freezer. The ol school kind with the wire shelves that freeze up. :thumbsup2:

I was just in the local grocery store and the frozen food section was almost bare. Also the liquor store was out of Rainier.
