I haven’t been able to figure out what I am able do for a job. I’m medically retired, shoot my guns, reloads ammo, sell brass/whatnot and spends days on the water… What the hell could I possibly do job wise???  _________________"You are either with us...as Americans. I've been looking for work for weeks now in KS. Outside of the city, there is NOTHING available save for those highschooler positions paying min wage... And nobody wants to hire a grown man at min wage.

I see a lot of ads for high tech work like programming, systems administration, and electronics for which they want to pay minimum wage or something really close. I understand the effect of unemployment benefits competing with business, but this is ridiculous.

We've been looking for a dental assistant for months and pay well above minimum wage. Nothing. Used to be we'd get 20 resumes and have to pick through them. Now we're lucky to get 1-2 and they all suck or don't follow through with interviews.
(Anybody know a dental assistant looking for work or for a better office?)

Look for a job doing something you enjoy. A sporting goods store for discounts or something similar. Do not take any supervisor gig,don't need the stress.

may i suggest a rideshare gig? Uber/Lyft?
yes, they are woke AF.
but you can work whenever you want, no shift requirements and you can make decent money if you do it right (and have a vehicle that qualifies, 2006 or newer)

I watch the employment ads for the Valley.
They keep tempting me with my experience to come back to the work pool, but, we gotta nuff cheddar that won't run out until I'm 95 years (and wife 91) we just hope we outlive our money. Then our kids will have to pay us back for their early years!
