I heard conjecture that its loss was by design. Inclusion of trans-contestants was a huge hurdle. A trans athlete's win on the other hand, it was deemed by those engineering the situation (if you will), would elicit far more strident protests.

Therefore the strategy, as the theory goes, was to merely gain entrance into the competition to 'normalize' trans participation. And then, in an incremental process, the participants would be free to achieve success, if possible, in later contests once the novelty has worn off.

Boil the frog slowly.

Still, a remarkable affront to (real) women, in my estimation. There should be a separate trans- segment to all such competitions.

She never won anything beyond her countries weight lifting competition, and she was never favored to win against that machine of a Chinese woman who oozes 100% DNA of carrying heavy water buckets and giant soup pots from generations.

The IOC already limits women by T levels which barrs women who were just born with insane testosterone levels like Cris Cyborg.

Is letting outlier women compete against women fair anyways?

Maybe all the women should.just be allowed to use steroids and it would level everything out.
