That movie was so well-conceived, and so well-written, in many areas, and yet poorly done in other areas, like the ending.

I loved it, ‘til the end.

It’s like they we’re making a point throughout, but has to acquiesce to the power that be at the end.

Powerful, yet sad…

This is an interesting movie I'd like to see in its entirety. About life in East Germany. I don't remember the exact ratio (1:4, 1:5?), but EG had many people utilized as informants against their neighbors. In addition, there was only one photo processing spot in EG where the government would have copies of all photos taken.

The difference here in America is that so-called "private" companies collect this information who sell it to other parties.
