Watch How Electric Car Drivers 'Steal' Charging Opportunities
https://insideevs.com/news/550556/ev-drivers-steal-charging-opportunity/

Quote:
Here is an example of something that appears to happen more often that we thought it would, as EV drivers were supposed to have some EV etiquette.

It occurred at an ordinary charging station with AC Level 2 charging points in the U.S. (date unknown). According to Wham Baam Dangercam's video, a Tesla car was actively charging, while another EV driver appeared and decided to disconnect it.

Yhea. That happens often. It’s happened to me. In teslas, we have to use an adapter to use those 3rd party level 2 chargers (J1772). The adapter locks into the charge port, but the 3rd party cable just plugs into that. So the adapter stays.

On tesla chargers, the wand locks into the car, so switching isn’t possible.

This video also shows that the charging pedestal has one side not functioning. Thats all too common and further promotes teslas more reliable charging infrastructure.

Looks like there devices to prevent the cord from being disconnected. $10, or looks like it's 3D printed, I'm sure someone has the file for free if you have a printer

There's another device out there that also prevents this behavior. It's a one-time use item, but it only costs about 35 cents. Well, the price has been dropping, you can probably find it as low as 31 cents this Black Friday.

The type of people that own EVs match right up with the 'I'm more important than you' mentality demographic.......

Yhea. I’ve never ordered the collar that locks in the J1772. It’s only happened to me once, and i had plenty of charge. The guy was there when i returned and was very apologetic. Still told him that wasn’t cool and gave him a bit of Karen-attitude.

I prefer Steve’s solution.

Engine was doing a regen when the truck caught fire

Video showed the wind blowing the fire towards the building and away from the pumps

Glad we have all this new technology to reduce emissions

What a moron.

Can’t afford meat at the store? Buy your own cow! Never pay high meat prices again.

Facepalm.

Why is everything a joke to these liberal assholes?
They laugh at everything, mostly at us for not embracing whatever they want to force on us.

How bout we knock their wages down to $15 per hour, part time only with no benefits? I'd bet things would change pretty darn quick.
