Can anyone here explain to me why, when someone is looking to buy a shotgun, and I respond with one I have for sale, they are not even courteous enough to answer with a "No thanks", or "Not what I was looking for" ? Is simple courtesy just a thing of the past ???

Some people just have no common courtesy. Just make a mental note and move on.

Life's too short to stress that crap. :wink05:

Not online, no.

I've sold desirable guns online before, and have received ludicrous offers that I just ignore. Like the drunk douche at the bar hitting on the cutest girl there, sometimes any reply --- even with a hard no --- just encourages them further.

In your case, maybe they already found one or are fishing for something very specific. It's not the most polite thing to not reply to you, but it happens.

Agree with the above statement by usrifle.

Some people care, and don’t care, about different things.

For instance, some may be irked by your thread title, as thread titles are generally descriptive enough to let folks know if they want to click on them or not.

While others might say this doesn’t deserve its own thread, and should be in the “What Pissed Me Off Today” thread.

Perception and consideration are funny things...

(Edited to add: I do agree it’s inconsiderate, and people here will note who you’re talking about, especially since he’s been on since you said you sent a PM)

Also, some of us are busier than others. I have gone stretches forgetting to check pms and replies in the threads.
so sometimes it happens. Usually in your case I would say send him another.

Your point on common curtsy is well made but not everyone stays on top of things. I finally had to start using a spreadsheet and I still have forgotten to get back to people sometimes until later. It happens. Not every transaction was meant to be.

In your defense, you have quite the volume in helping people, so, leniency is quite warranted.... :cheers2:

Can someone explain to me how some idiot begging for a gap on the freeway at the last minute before their exit doesn’t give a courtesy wave when I brake to let him over?

Some people suck. Ok many people suck. Alright, realistically most people suck.

Just yell “I hope you die in a fire!!!” and get on with your day.

That works for me. Mostly.

Oh 100%! Rainbows and butterflies.

And I have never, ever considered bringing a fresh egg with me every day to throw at whatever driver earns the “egg of the day” award.

Ever.

Just one egg?

So as not to be wasteful. And what if no one earned the award that day? How long can eggs sit unrefrigerated before they spoil?
