All 4 bedrooms used to be equipped with sinks. Sadly, this is the only one remaining, and I'm trying hard to sell the idea of refurbing and keeping it. Judging by the plumbing, they were installed sometime in the 20's.

Got something important done yesterday. Permanent placement will be at the top of the peak as soon as I have time to figure out how to mount it without doing any unnecessary damage to the trim.

Dunno man, that flag looks pretty damned good right where it is.

I woke up at 1:30 to the calm winds having picked up, and every loose door in the house banging around. As I got up to secure everything, the rain started and began blowing in all the open windows.
The dog had gone to bed with my bro, and his door was still closed, so I didn't think anything about him. This morning, he was discovered on the 3rd floor balcony. No railing, and no cover.
Outside in the storm all night, this poor bastard came in soaked and shivering, and probably traumatized for life now.

Sitting on the front porch, I watched a model T putter by. There are no limitations on vehicle types on the roads here in town. Quads, Polaris, golf carts, go-carts, horses, etc. We were invited to the towns Memorial day festivities, but I'm not sure I'm up for fried Bull testicles just yet.

An old timer stopped by yesterday. His parents bought this house in 63' and remodeled the kitchen.
It's hard to see in person, and probably impossible in a picture, but written here in crayon inside the wall in scrawling 7 year old writing..

I've carefully removed the shiplap boards, and we're going to give them to him the next time he visits. That was a real bitch by the way. They don't make nails or lumber the way they used to. We've got 3-400 of these turn of the century nails collected now.

Wow ... that’s a nice piece of personal history right there, and I’m sure he will love that you preserved it for him!
