We confiscated your non-firearm non-weapon because you didn't declare it as a firearm, even though it isn't, and we're not allowing you to fly with this non-firearm firearm that you weren't required to declare, because you didn't declare it, and you're lucky we're letting you hand it off to a family member/friend instead of just taking it, now begone, peasant.

What’s worse is he did declare it, the check in person never put that in the system. So TSA just screwed him over for someone else’s mistake. No real surprise though.

While TSA was quick to show off the confiscated recoilless rifle, the weapon was demilitarized, declared, and perfectly legal to fly with ... “The passenger did everything correctly, but TSA Officers were not aware the passenger declared the item. TSA recommends that if someone is traveling with large caliber weapons or similar items that they coordinate with TSA either a day or two prior to travel or allow enough time prior to the flight for TSA to validate the information/paperwork provided. These days with computers and graphics, our officers are required to validate paperwork provided with items such as these."

So will there be retractions or addendums?

With computers, communication requires a day or two advance notification?

Officer Ice was recently "under investigation" for allegedly stealing from one of his own colleagues.
This month, the Wyandotte Police Department (WPD) in Wyandotte, Michigan, shared a now-viral image of Ice's mugshot following his recent criminal charges.

Don't they know people and companies will just go to Mexico and probably get it done for cheaper.
Air moves all around the world. The breeze will eventually bring it right back to California. And it could be worse as Mexico may not care as much about it's pollution as California.
