So I’m really curious NWgunner you’re literally explaining why net neutrality is a good thing in your argument and why we should treat these mega corporations and internet in general should be treated as a utility yet there were lots of threads against net neutrality here.

For the record, I completely agree with you.

That’s an odd statement, to me.

I didn’t infer good, or bad; I simply stated that if they have the protection, then they don’t get to violate the standards of that protection when it suits them.

I also can’t answer for, nor do I attempt to represent, “lots of threads against net neutrality here”...

I was responding to one post, by one poster, based on his statement.

What protection? What standards of what protection are they violating?

Yes, because they were off topic and borderline violations of the CoC - but let’s just waive our hands and ignore that.

...but nice dodge of my on topic questions!

Gentle reminder that net neutrality was for ISPs, not content producers... Amazon is not an ISP, and when it inevitably becomes one, antitrust laws normally come into play. Although we all know it will not.

Carry on bickering/getting banned

None were off topic, they were direct responses to your posts.

But, if something doesn’t suit your agenda, you childishly pretend it’s beneath you.

You act like a juvenile and threaten Mods, and then try to lay claim to a COC violation on a response that’s on point.

Pathetic.

Agreed, I mentioned nothing about net neutrality.

Yes but the argument is the same. How does the content get to you that content producers create? And if you’re saying content producers are utilities and shouldn’t block trump. Then the isp can just swoop in and block it. It all should be treated as utilities.

Hmmm. I coulda sworn a bunch of you said you loved the free market and minimal government intervention in the actions of business.

Perhaps I was mistaken. My bad.

No mistake and no hypocrisy here.

Part of the free market is customers or potential customers voicing their opinion and using free speech to bad mouth a company or encourage others to avoid it.

Where have I faulted the free market or advocated for anything but that here?

I never said that, but it's a stretch this is what shareholders want - in some cases maybe, in other companies maybe not

You were twice mistaken. There is nothing "free market" about my point. And I am not advocating for big brother/daddy/mommy to do something (which is typically the solution from the left as you readily concede). I am simply stating this entire sprint to "more virtuous than thou" about temporarily abandoning a platform which already leans left and hires employees who purposely block anything even considered right of center is quite laughable.

Man, I thought this was going to be a spicy debate.

Twitch seems to be pretty even with it's offense material enforcement. Even though we may disagree with it they seem to have it the punishment pretty fairly.

Anyone have a video of a Democrat saying something that violates Twitch's agreement that hasn't been banned?
