. In the latest California school shooting. They are now investigating on who purchased the parts and who built the firearm. https://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory/tee ... g-67201760Hmm.... Quote: Berhow’s father was an avid hunter who died two years ago. He had six registered guns in the family’s home but they were seized in 2016. I wonder why that happened? I smell a Bumpstock scenario...at least in California.

Isn't that convenient...So this 16 YO Kid bought an 80% frame and machined/assembled it himself? How unlikely is that? Possible sure, but it seems to better fit a narrative to me.

Aren't 'Ghost Guns' already illegal in CA?

Possible, but I'll say it, pretty unlikely. Based on what I've read it sounds like a 6-7rd pistol. Being that a LOT of .45cal semi-auto pistols are 1911s, that's my guess. Pretty hard to finish 80% 1911s. A LOT harder than the not-a-glocks.

Saw one at the Monroe show a few years back, looked slightly less difficult than carving it out from a cube of steel. Back in the day, a couple companies were selling all kinds of 80% machine gun receivers. Think the BAR receiver was about $200, still had some major machining to go. Haven't seen them around lately. Figure either ATF cracked down or the supply of parts kits dried up.

The article says they also found other unregistered firearms. How did those get in the house and where were they located. We aren’t getting the whole story. I’m wondering if there was another person living there that wasn’t a law abiding citizen.

Yeah had that gun been registered this kid would have remained sane.

The whole registration thing......the idiot savant press has been sold on gun registration solving...........stuff..........saving lives. No. Even the whole "saving lives" is a farce. Heart disease kills near 650,000 people in the USA, gun deaths are not even in the same league as the top 12 causes of death in the USA. Yeah suicide is #10, well guess what is accelerating that? WOMEN and not with guns. I'm not saying the press doesn't mention these causes of death but their phony support of prevention is not commensurate with the the relative number of deaths.

It is also illegal in CA for under 21 to buy handgun ammo, and, buying ammo requires a background check. Why is that not a topic of conversation?
Doesn't fit the narrative ...

I'm not buying any of the 'official' press releases.
An 80% M1911 frame is a very tough build.
