Took my kids to Woodland Park Zoo so many times the kids don't want to go to zoos anymore. I used to have three .500 S&W's just for shits and giggles, were a hoot when we went camping. 4-5 rounds could take down a small tree. Carrying one made me lean a bit to one side. Buddy said "That would be a great gun for the fish and game guy who sits on top of the cage and lets trapped bears out."

I realize this is an old thread but even more relevant with passing of time, laws and societal acceptance. Looking at going to Woodland Park Zoo tomorrow. Don’t feel like be wanded or metal detected with my guests that I’ll be with.
