Hi I recently took a position in Bremerton and will be moving there from the Bay Area. Looking forward to being out from under the Uber gun control freaks and hope Washington is a better place. I am work in the Emergency Management Field, am a former Paramedic, and spent a total of 34 years in between active Army, and the National Guard. During my active duty time I worked hand in hand with NATO allies in Germany, Italy and the Netherlands. The Army back then had atomic weapons on standby with our NATO Allies. The Army kept the warheads and our allies had the rest of the firing system. When they went to the field we went with them. It was fun, and I got to see a different way of doing things with them.
I have had firearms for as long as I have been an adult and I have everything from Black Powder, Mil Surp, bolt actions, pistols and a few semi's. In the last couple of years I have started reloading, and building my own rifles. Recently I complete what I refer to as an Finnish M39 "F" for Faux, or Faux 39. I picked one of those $39 Mosin Round Receivers and collected the parts to build my own, with a few changes. I look at it as building the Finn you always wanted without ticking off the entire milsurp community. As this is nothing more than a bucket of parts slapped together (except for the barrel which came from McGowan). I look forward to getting to know you folks, and hopefully see on the ranges when time permits!

Excellent!
Welcome to WaGuns and Washington State.
Looking to hear and seeing more about your build and also more thoughts on how other countries do things compared to the US.
