Hello all,
I'm a dirty CA expat, and my hobbies include firearms, tactical gear, fishing, and 3d printing. I'm fairly young (22) and would like some shooting buddies around my age.
Looking forward to posting in WaGuns more.

I really like the outdoor activities I can do here, and despite the cloudy/rainy days, the weather is a lot better than it was living in the middle of the desert.

I'm also originally from California, born and raised there (lived and worked all over the state). Moved to Washington for work many moons ago and spent almost 15 years there altogether, mostly in Tumwater and Lacey. Couple years ago moved to Texas for work. Texas has been really good for us though we definitely miss the Northwest a lot. The Pacific Northwest is really beautiful for sure, I think as far as the outdoor scenery it's the most beautiful locale in the contiguous USA. If you're into skiing or snowboarding you're in great shape. Oregon and Washington, though not known for destination resorts, boast amazing day use resort skiing at Mt Baker, Stevens Pass, Crystal Mountain, and White Pass in Washington and also at Mt Hood and Mt Bachelor in Oregon. That's not even considering the world class skiing destinations up north in British Columbia and Alberta. Mt Rainier has some of the best hiking in the US, amazing scenery at Sunrise on the NE flank. Enjoy!!! Oh, almost forgot, the scenery at Mt Baker and Mt Shuksan will pretty much blow your socks off as well. Well worth the drive north. There are awesome hikes off Highway 542 up the North Fork of the Nooksack River (bushwhacking upstream along the river) and also Table Mountain.
