Howdy, I have a couple M&P's that I would like thumb safeties installed on. Any suggestions on where to find parts, and a gunsmith in the Grays Harbor/Thurston County area who could do it? Thanks! |

I could be totally wrong, but I think you'd probably just be better off selling those and buying models with the thumb safety. |

Midwest Gun Works has them. I've done them myself and it's a very straightforward process. You need these 3 parts. https://www.midwestgunworks.com/product ... =391640000 https://www.midwestgunworks.com/product ... =391640000 https://www.midwestgunworks.com/product ... =391430000 Follow this video except instead of deleting you are adding the safety back in. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oOv87s0q1rI A note that you can only do this on the M&P 2.0 model. The 1.0 does not have the cut out for them. |

I didn't even think to ask which version, hence my response--since almost all of mine are 1.0s and didn't seem like it was worth the trouble. Didn't know the 2.0 had the ability to do this. Very nice! |

Thanks for the info! Mine must be the 2.0 as they both have cutouts that are plugged. |
