They come as a powder you mix in water or alcohol to the desired color and, unlike a stain, they will soak completely through a piece of wood. Great if you dont want to worry about needing to refinish the stock ever again- any dent, scratch, etc will be the same color and can be steamed or sanded out and need no touch up beyond that. |
