One thing that stood out when I was looking at his profile, most of his recent post were welcoming people. That says something profound to me. What a loss to our community here. RIP.

I don’t believe that I had the pleasure to meet or interact with Rod much over the years. But I can affirm the dedication that he put into supporting this forum. Rod was always quietly working diligently on the forum, behind the scenes, for many years, even back when I was a mod. He was the one who inspired me to always greet as many new members as possible. It means a lot to new members. He really cared. Rod will always be here, continuing his quiet dedication to this forum. His legacy will carry on forever in the hearts and minds of us who were lucky enough to know him. God bless you Rod. Thank you for your service to this country, your family and this little forum. However I gotta admit...... I feel honored to be associated with a bunch of guys that gave a shit, and sent out guys to check up on a person.
