My dads shop got broken into. Lots of vintage hot rod stuff, and a 1912? winchester m97 shotgun, a octagon barrel 1894, a percussion halfstock(we think it is a possible california 1840's rifle), and i'm not sure but he probably had a couple unfinished high end kit flintlocks

If anyone hears anything i'm interested. The big things are the weiand 4x2bbl intake for a Chrysler hemi with chrome carbs, and a flathead ford 3 x 2bbl intake with rebuilt stromberg carbs.

We are currently cleaning his shop and house and putting it on market now.

That really sucks . . . sorry to hear that.

If you have serial numbers for the guns, that may help.

An idiot would try to sell those locally, start scouring............

Police/Sherriff often know what thieves are active in the area.

I caught one in the act but he got away before the police got there. I dragged him out of my dads front door by his collar. I kept his backpack and bicycle though. He was sniveling so bad i didnt have the heart to work him over like i should have. The neighbor ID'd the other 2, one is a POS i went to school with in the early 2000's, i confronted him at his house the same day but he was so junked out he didnt know what planet he was on. I'm pretty sure the 3rd guy was with him. I also had enough time to look around his property while he awoke from his junkie haze that i was able to look around most of his property and buildings before he realized i was there.

It's been a rough 2 weeks of dealing with my clearing my dads stuff, now that it is secure it is time i put my ear to the ground.

I've been putting the word out with every lowlife i now locally( i grew up in this town, i know a bunch)

I just found the first and biggest piece, someone last week sold my dad's 392 hemi intake(4 rare chrome carb's on a $1200 intake)... I'm currently asking the druggie seller to meet and if he has any more old car stuff since he is probably a fence and might be able to direct me to the source where i can find the bulk of it. Also, my dad finally found the serial numbers for the last of his guns(and i got him to send them to the sherriff), and to the buyer of the intake, which didnt know what happened, i'm throwing him a small profit over his purchase price(he relisted it on e-bay for $2600!! ) He's a good guy who resells and didnt realize it was stolen(he buys and sells car parts on ebay across the world)

I also got a vehicle description and a facebook screenshot to forward to the sheriffs

Unfortunately i didnt get an address or a FTF meeting.
